The Law of Attraction is a universal law that has been passed on for years. The Law is based on the principle that people’s thoughts determine the reality of their lives whether they are aware of it or not. The Law is believed to work through the subconscious mind. The subconscious is supposed to work as a transmitter that sends waves out indicating what it believes, thereby telling the universe that this is what it expects in reality. The universe does not contradict what the mind believes; rather it works in unison with the mind and makes one’s belief become a reality.
The Law indicates that you get more of what you focus on. Proponents therefore believe that the poor get poorer because they focus on poverty and their financial problems, whilst the rich get richer because they focus on creating ideas to get rich. The law therefore cautions against having negative thoughts in order to be successful in life. The Law of Attraction is not only about asking for things but also having good feelings. You have to feel good first in order for good things to materialize. This requires that you get rid of bad feelings and resentment and instead fill yourself with love for the Law to be effective.
For the law to work, advocates recommend that four things are practiced: Know exactly what you want, ask the universe for it, feel and behave as if what you desire is on its way and be open to receive it. The Law of Attraction claims to have its roots in quantum physics but some scientists have criticized the credibility of the Law as science as the Law can’t be quantified.
