Principles of the law of attraction date back hundreds, and some believe thousands of years to Biblical times. The law of attraction teaches that we create our reality by what we think and whether our thoughts are positive or negative, they are energy that attract what our dominant focus is. Since energy is not confined to a single religious belief, it is generally believed that the law of attraction does not contradict other religious beliefs, but rather confirms them.
Scripture says, "Ask and it shall be given to you. Seek and you shall find," and, "As a Man Thinketh in his heart, so is he." Some people believe that these principles actually support the basic beliefs of the law of attraction. Hinduism teaches about Karma and Dharma, while the law of attraction discusses cause and effect, and purpose. In other words, what you send out comes back to you, and when you identify and focus on your life purpose, single minded focus will attract those things to you from the universe. Hinduism and the law of attraction share another interesting principle: the teaching of avoiding attachment to the result.
The law of attraction teaches that you must know what you want, ask for it, add emotion to the asking and detach from the outcome by being open to receive what you desire. Whatever position you take, the law of attraction crosses different religious lines and has given people hope and a belief that they can determine their reality and manifest their dreams.
