Metaphysical Interpretations of the Bible

The term metaphysical is an adjective used in relation to supernatural, theoretical, and or relating to a reality that is beyond our sensory perception. Metaphysical interpretations of the Bible differ from author to author, and are their attempts to make sense out of the scriptures.

Some metaphysical interpretations of the Bible relate everything and everyone in the Bible to an earthly substance, or a feeling or desire. An example of such an interpretation is that people come from minerals, developed to plant and animal life, and then to human life. A metaphysical interpretation of God's phrase, "Let there be light," concludes that the spirit of God combined with water to create light. Yet another example is the interpretation of Cain and Abel to be fire and water.

Another interpretation states that the outcome you want from the Bible will only come about if you believe that it will, and then your soul will bring it about. You have to be totally committed in your belief for the required outcome to happen. This interpretation comes from Matthew 21:21, where Jesus talks about having faith, and its ability to move mountains. If you want something ridiculous like winning the lottery, it will not happen because it is too much to ask your soul to believe in all at once.

As you can see, metaphysical interpretations of the Bible vary depending on who is doing the interpretation and what they really believe to be true or false.

Late Sunday night I am having a conversation with a friend who needed to hear that despite the crap life serves you the universe is ultimately on the side of the truly good people. Of course this conversation was almost completely metaphysically based on my side.
For some reason I check to see if any sites are up for review knowing full well that its another 13 hours till they are posted. As randomly as I checked so did they appear and amidst them was this gem.
Name of the site is selfawareuniversity.com and while I only reviewed Metaphysical Interpretations of the Bible I can assure you, dear readers, that I will be back to this site for my own personal reasons. If you find it hard to believe in the dense reality in which we exist check this blog and do as i do and investigate it further.
